Welcome to Unwritten's

Characters in Love!
Each day will feature a different fictional character from various books and genres, and a personal interview about their love lives. It's sure to be enlightening, and if you find yourself dying to know more about them, pick up a copy of the the book!
Today, let's welcome JB Edwards from Hemphill Towers:
1. Please
tell us a little about yourself.
My
name is JB Edwards. I’m the head of a large advertising agency that bears my
name. When I met Stella, I was a widower with a nineteen year old daughter.
Katie was only ten when her mother died. I did try to find somebody to help raise her. Most of the women I dated were more interested
in my money than they were in being a mother to my daughter.
2. How/where
did you first meet your love interest?
I
first met Stella when I hired her. I really didn’t pay much attention to her.
She was extremely efficient in her work, and I guess I took her for granted.
3. Was
it love (or attraction) at first sight?
Not
at all. She was just another employee. If it hadn’t been for a fateful night at
an Italian restaurant, I don’t know where we’d be now. Spilling wine on Stella
was a turning point. I saw a whole new side to her. She could have been upset
with me, but she chose to see humor in the situation. I’ll have to admit a
strong physical attraction at seeing her breasts almost exposed through a lacy,
wine-soaked bra.
4. When
did you know for certain that you were in love?
I knew I was a goner when her
lips brushed mine after our first date. I swear a bolt of electricity jolted
all the way through me. From that point on, I couldn’t get her out of my mind.
Absolutely
not! We haven’t known each other long enough for that to happen.
6. Has
anyone ever come between you?
No,
but I’ve seen a lot of male clients give her more than a passing glance. It
just makes me proud to be the man in her life.
7. If
you could take your lover on the perfect date, where would that be?
I’d
take her back to the ski slopes in Switzerland where we went to visit Katie.
She was beautiful, her face flushed from the outdoor air when we entered the
Majesty Hotel’s dining room. Our sumptuous meal was the end to a perfect day.
Stella has a sweet tooth, and I love watching her try to decide on just one
dessert.
8. Is
there anything your lover does that completely annoys you?
Not a thing. Well…I
don’t understand her need to always wear a jacket to cover her ample bosom. I’ve
told her to be proud of it, but she still dresses to downplay part of her
natural beauty.
9. What's
the biggest challenge you've faced together as a couple?
Learning to compromise.
I was used to living alone, cooking, and things like that, and so was Stella.
Now, I cook at least twice a week. I wanted her to travel with me when I have
to be out of town for business. A baby will throw a wrench in those plans if
she sticks to her guns about not hiring a nanny.
10. Is there a happily ever after in store
for you?
Oh yes, my creator
wouldn’t write it any other way. She identifies with Stella. I’ve known this
from the moment she started writing. Happy endings are a must. That could be
her motto.

Ouch -- poor comment {pats comment on the head}. Hopefully, it will be all right after this. Still, I wouldn't want the poor thing to have fleas --erm, spam --
ReplyDeleteAm thoroughly enjoying these interviews. JB sounds great.
Loved JB's answers. Actually, I must admit I love JB, and his romance with Stella is wonderful.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mysti, it was fun having JB interviewed.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Margaret and Joyce. Yeah, I think the comment button needs some love.
ReplyDeleteHey Leona,
ReplyDeleteI always enjoy hearing from JB but you just as easily could have called on any of your characters to tell THEIR wonderful love story. Your book is great.
