  1. One tip that I use for nonstress is that I do not let anything get too personal or take things personally.

I am not afraid of the dark.

I usually read during the afternoon.

My idea of the perfect date would be a night out for dinner and a movie if it was one of the first three to four dates. After that who knows...

My favorite poet would have to be Emily Dickenson.

I really do not have any romantic Christmas memories...

    Have fun everyone!!!

    1. Dinner and a movie are great at any stage in a relationship. When you're married with 3 kids, a nice date can be something as simple as a trip to the grocery without kids :)

      I love Emily Dickinson too!

    2. My twin sister is married with two kids- 1 10years old and 1 3 years old. I babysit both kids twice a month so that my twin sister and her hubby can have a full date night. Plus I also offer to babysit at other times during the month.

  4. For holiday stress, I find that reading is a real relaxer. Playing with the kids also takes your mind off the holidays.

  7. Yes, I believe there is true love and you can love someone your whole life, even if you can't be together.

  8. I read all through the day, every chance I get.

  9. A romantic date huh? I would start off with a moonlight picnic by the ocean, then a little star gazing, maybe a museum or a planetarium.

  10. Poets...I like Henry Wadsworth longfellow, Walt Whitman, and so many more, too many to name.

  11. Hmmm, i remember the first Christmas me and my husband were together. We had only been dating about four months. He had been promoted, so I got him a really nice leather briefcase. I wasn't expecting much because we'd only been together 4 months, but when I opened the present from him, it was a diamond necklace. It was the first piece of jewelry I ever got from a guy.

  13. Holiday stress helper.....Keep a box in the closet and when you find something you know is perfect for a family member or an unexpected guest, you always have something to give or you don't have to go empty handed.

  19. As far as the comment for tara's works goes, I have to say my best way to distress during the holidays is to listen to some great music and just relax as best as I can :)

  20. I recommend alcohol for overcoming the stress. Lots and lots of alcohol. Tis the season...to be drunk :-P Nah, I personally just stay in and avoid the craziness. I don't handle crowds well.

  21. I'm not afraid of the dark, but I do start easily. When the windows expand/contract from the temp and make a loud crack, I jump out of my skin. *Hate* that.

  22. My idea of a perfect date is wandering a natural history/science museum. Or a music one. And then getting delicious vegetarian-friendly food afterwords. My favorite that I've ever been on was a trip to the botanical gardens when they had butterflies out, then yummy Indian food :)

  23. I usually read at night. It's my bedtime habit, turn off all screens, take off glasses and read until I can pass out. It's really relaxing :)

  24. I don't really think there's such a thing as true love. I think there's love, and it is stronger with people that are committed and would do anything for each other. Most relationships could work imo if there's at least a sliver of attraction and the people are determined to make it work.

  25. I like Shakespeare's poetry :) But, I prefer the poetry that comes in song lyrics. The right word choices and the right music can evoke so much emotion.

  26. My now ex drove up to spend something like two weeks with me for Christmas and New Year's two years ago, bringing up the puppy we'd picked out at a shelter. It was wonderful to have him here for so long, most visits were only for a weekend. Yay long distance.

  27. I do believe in true love, I think it exists I just haven't found it yet :)

  28. I used to be terrified of the dark as a child, but now I can't sleep with any lights on :)

  29. I read mostly at night time after my daughter is in bed :)

  30. Perfect romantic date would be dinner, a movie and a walk holding hands!

  31. To overcome holiday stress stuff the turkey with prozac LOL!

  32. Emily Dickinson's poems are some of my favorites :)

  33. I don't really have an romantic Christmas memories - I am hoping that will come now that I am away from my stupid ex-husband!

    ReplyDelete
  34. To de-stress during the holidays, I will sit back and have a beer or a margarita.
I am not afraid of the dark, but sometimes when it is too dark I get nervous.
I don't have any specific time of day that I read. I usually read any possible chance I can get. I do most of my reading after work though.
The perfect date is no kids(I love mine very much, but am with them generally all the time when I am not at work), dinner, and a movie.
My favorite poet would have to be Robert Frost.

  35. Oops forgot Xmas memories. My and my husbands first Xmas together. We did not have much money and didn't even have enough to get a tree. My mom ended up buying us a blow-up tree as a joke. I loved the tree and used for several years as a 2nd tree, until my cat dug his claws into it and it deflated. Just being together and having each other was enough for us.
