You know what I think? I think it's RAFFLE TIME!!!!

All right, peeps, it's time for a raffle to celebrate the release of my debut novel! I'm just a tad excited--can't ya tell? And I'm excited to share this love story with you. Here's what you have to do. Pay attention, now. Electric shocks coming to anyone who doesn't follow directions. Not really.

Ok, here goes. You've seen my list (probably) of love songs that inspire my writing. Now it's your turn to share. Tell me your favorite love song (title and artist) and why it's your favorite. Please post that in the comments of this post. I will pick a winner on Friday. Yes, you have that long. And I'm going to keep bugging you until I get some responses.

What do you get, you ask? You get a free .pdf file of "A Ranger's Tale", but that's not all. I am also giving away a $10 certificate good for All Romance which I think can be used for any purchase on their site (even the non-romances). And, I just discovered that you can convert their files to your Kindle if you have one, by giving them your Kindle e-mail address (the one you use at Amazon). Ask me if you can't find where.

Now, get to posting those love songs. I'll ask the magic hat who the winner is this Friday, Feb. 4!

  1. My favorite is: Forever May Not Be Long Enough by Live

I love it because it talks about the forever may not be long enough for their love. Totally love that.

  2. Excellent! I played it on YouTube just now. I see it was featured in "The Mummy". Love that movie :)

    Thanks for entering Larena!

  3. I'm gonna have to go with an older song: (Everything I Do) I Do It for You, by Bryan Adams. Theme song for Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves.

    Power ballads = awesome. :D

  4. Oh, yes, LOVE that one! The movie was so-so, only because of Kevin Costner's atrocious accent, but the song rocks.

    Thanks for entering, Jasmine!

  5. Since your not really gonna shock me, here are my top four :-)
Wicked Game - Chris Isaak - Just flat out sexy!
(I'm going to cheat here and list more than one)
It's Your Love - Tim McGraw and Faith Hill - Jason and I danced to this at our wedding.
From this moment On - Shania Twain - This was sung at our wedding, and I love the lyrics.
OK so this is the last one I'm gonna list ;-)
Fields of Gold - Sting - This song is a love story on its own.
So excited for you and your novel! Congratulations girl! Love ya,

  6. Yay! A four-banger! :) Those are all great songs. Thanks for entering Onalee!! *hugs*

  7. First of all, I loved that you had I'll Be by Edwin McCain and Faraway by Nickelback on your list. I simply love those songs.

I'm going to cheat too and give you more than one song because I just love music and love songs :p

So, my first choice and one of the best love songs of all time (IMO): Air Supply - Making love out of nothing at all

Other songs I love: Darren Hayes - So beautiful
    Backstreet Boys - Drowning
Delta Goodrem - Lost without you
Westlife - What Makes a Man

And i could go on forever! But I won't :)

  8. Stephanie, I think I've got new songs to download now--thanks! And thanks for entering!

  9. Oh Stephanie! Air Supply - that's a great one!

  10. Firstly, Massive congratz on publication!

    Secondly, music:
    What about David Gray's Babylon?
George Michael's Waiting for that day?
Eva cassidy's version of Tennessee Waltz?

    Merlin (F2K)

  11. Merlin--thanks! I think I know the George Michael one, but I'll look them all up on YouTube.

    Thanks for entering too!!

  12. "I Will Be Here" Steven Curtis Chapman. It was sung by my brothers at my wedding.

  13. How sweet, Maggie! I can't imagine my brother singing anything :) Lovin all the new songs I'm getting....I'll share my favorite on Friday!

    Thanks for entering!

  14. I have 2 that stem from when my husband and I were dating. One is already mentioned in your list, Dolly Parton I will always love you.
My second one may be a bit corney to some but has great meaning to me, especially with the years passing by so quickly. It is by Roy Clark (of Hee-Haw fame) If I had to do it all over again, I'd do it with you.

  15. I miss Hee-Haw! Loved the old ones with Minnie Pearl and Grandpa Jones. Thanks for entering, Anonymous :)

  16. Mine and Mark's song by Heart : "How can I refuse" Love, love, love that song !!!

    Becky Jarvis

  17. Yay, Becky! "Alone" by Heart is one of my faves. I'll look that one up too. Thanks for entering!!
